New to cloth diapers
What is a cloth diaper?
A cloth diaper is exactly what it sounds like - a diaper made of cloth. There are a variety of different types, but they all have in common that there is a part that absorbs liquid and a part that retains moisture so that the clothes do not get wet. In some diapers, these parts are attached, in some diapers, they are separate parts. There are even diapers that consist of three different parts. In some, the absorbent insert is fastened with buttons and in others, it isn't. Each has its pros and cons.
How does it work?
So how do you use cloth diapers? It's no harder than with disposable diapers; the difference is that instead of throwing the diapers in the trash, you throw them into the washing machine.
When you change the diaper, flush the poop in the toilet or trash can, throw the diaper paper in the trash, and remove the insert from the diaper. Store the insert and diaper in a bag/bucket/bin until it's time to wash. Once the diapers are clean and dry, fold them up to be ready for the next diaper change.
How to wash them?
Cloth diapers are washed at 60 degrees on a cotton program. Preferably add an extra rinse on your washing machine to make sure the detergent is rinsed out thoroughly. Line dry the diapers and let them dry completely before using them again.
Feel free to add other 60-degree wash laundry at the same time, but don't fill the washing machine more than 3/4.

How do I get started?
The absolute easiest and best way to get started is to dive right in. Buy a diaper that you think is pretty, in your child's size, and go for it!
Choose between diapers in size 3-7 kilos and diapers in size 5-15 kilos.
Remember: instead of the trash can, the diaper goes in the laundry basket and joins the next 60-degree wash.
